The World is facing the rise of coronavirus cases day by day. In between this, a study has conducted related to the pros and cons of social distancing. This study shows how strict social distancing prevent the spread of COVID-19.

There was a research that has surveyed a sample of more than 1,000 people in the state of Maryland. The survey was conducted in June end. They asked people about their COVID-19 status. How frequently they use local transportation and also asking about their social distancing practices.

This study is the first large scale evaluation of people for COVID-19. The study was based on an individual-level survey. The result of the survey has published at Clinical Infectious Diseases on 2nd September.

Sunil Solomon, MBBS, Ph.D., a senior author said that these findings support the idea that if you are going out do prefer social distancing to the extent possible. As it seems that following social distancing has lower the chances of infection to an individual.

According to the World Health Organization, nearly 27 million people across Globe have infected by coronavirus and 900,000 have lost their lives.
