On 2nd October, the nation celebrates Gandhi Jayanti while remembering Mahatma Gandhi on his birth anniversary. On Twitter, there are many tweets from renowned personalities and everyone on Mahatma Gandhi birth anniversary.

In 1869, Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi was born in Porbandar which is situated in Gujarat. Today, India is celebrating the contribution of great leaders and their sacrifices for the independence of India.

He has given the name “Mahatma” by the poet Rabindranath Tagore. People through love often called him “Bapu”. We lost Mahatma Gandhi on 30th January 1948.
